Vijay's (Shobhan Babu) step mother assigns him the responsibility of taking care of her son Ananth (Chandramohan) and their property. Roja (Vanisree), a poor girl stays along with her blind mother. She has a brother Chandram (Krishnam Raju) who is a robber. Their father had abandoned them in their childhood and their family situations led Chandra to take the wild decision. Ananth and Roja are very good friends. He loves Roja but she finds her brother in him. Ananth rejects the marriage which has been arranged by Vijay and says he loves Roja and wants to marry her. Vijay thinks wrongly about Roja so to save his brother from her, he plots a plan and marries Roja by while she is not in her senses. Roja starts work as a care taker of Venugaopal Rao's (Gummadi) second daughter who is handicapped. After some days he comes to know that he is her father but he is unable to accept her in public. Will Vijay be able to understand Roja and accept her as his wife?
