Jeeva (Bobby Deol) is a professional killer. He kills anybody for a price, other than women and children. His criminal behaviour is an outcome of his troubled past. He came from a struggling family and was employed as a salesman in a store. He soon fell for Kiran (Malaika Arora) who came from a rich family. Her father, in rage at their relationship had Jeeva's mother (Farida Jalal) and two sisters arrested for prostitution and the three of them committed suicide in jail. Kiran ashamed of her father's cruelty also killed herself. Jeeva was livid at Kiran's father and killed him for revenge. He eventually started killing for a living. In the present, Jeeva lives in an apartment next door to Kiran Bali (Rani Mukherji). Kiran comes from a highly dysfunctional family, whom she does not love. She attempts on many ocassions to befriend Jeeva but he has no interest. Kiran one day goes to drop off milk to Jeeva's apartment when a gang of drug dealers (whom Kiran's father worked for) lead by the corrupt Devraj Khatri (Ashish Vidyatri) break into her apartment and kill the entire Bali family. Kiran is the only member who survives because she was in Jeeva's apartment. Kiran attempts to report the incident to the police - what she doesn't know is the police had conducted this execution on her family. Jeeva now befriends Kiran and trains her in using weapons in order to help her avenge her family's brutal murder. In the process, Jeeva realises he also loves Kiran. The rest of the films shows how Kiran and Jeeva take revenge against Devraj Khatri. |
