"Himmat Aur Mehnat" is a tale of an orphan girl called "Jyoti"
She was a young girl lonely and sad in ths cruel world till she was adopted try Seth Madan Lal.
Jyoti was now happy and content to find a father like love and affection blessed by Seth Madan Lal. This happiness could not last long and she became sad and worried due to evil designs and desires of Seth
Madan Lal step brother Trilok Chand. Who along with his son Mahesh wanted to grob the entire wealth of
Seth Madan Lal.
Vijay, the son of Seth Madan Lal, returns from abroad and develops an instant love for Jyoti. In an outrageous inpulse, he sleeps with her, Jyoti shocked by the deed tries to commit suicide when Vijay proposes to marry her. Trilok Chand arid Mahesfr are all anger to see Jyoti accepted as the Bahu of the family and set on their scheme to destroy the family to acquire the enormous wealth of Seth Madan Lal
Jyoti gives birth to Vilays son Chetan only to he branded of illct relatioirs with Raja leaves the house and takes shelter with Madhu Kaka and old and loyal servant of the farriily.
Seth Madan Lal cannot digest the shock and gets bed ridden.
Vilay seeks solace in wine and a woman called Sharda.
Seth Madan Lal cannot live without his grand son Chetan and Vijay goes to Jysti to get the child. Jyoti is happy to see Vilay and expects the reunion. Her dreams shatter once again when Vijay returns, be wildred to see one more child caddling to her bosoms without her giving her an opportunity to explain.
Jyoti feels helpless and shattered. She knocks at the doors of law to seek lustrce for her child On the otherside TrIlk Chand and Mahesh are on their evil tracks and they kidnap the children and as well murder Sharda.
