| Aamir Bashir has a bright future. His is the only sincere performance in FUTURE BRIGHT HAI JI. Even though everything around him is falling apart like a pack of cards, he calmly keeps his nerve to focus on his performance. Thanks to his sincerity, he makes this film somewhat watchable. The story revolves around Ajay Kumar (Aamir Bashir) a struggling writer in the television and film circuit and his wife Sonia Singh (Sonal Sehgal), a struggling artist in television serials. They live in a small apartment in a crowded locality. Wifes aim is to move into a plush society while husband knows it is a distant dream considering their finances. One day, Sonia convinces her friend to allow her to meet the astrologer she has taken an appointment with. The astrologer looks at her palm with a magnifying glass and tells her that she has a bright future. From here, director Sanjay Amar takes a nose dive. There is no clarity in what genre he wants to set this film. He takes it scene by scene, some of which make no sense to the plot. Sonia is always grating on your nerves with her attitude and only a saint could be her husband. In this context, Bashir keeps a saintly visage not once getting upset by his wifes super childish antics. Is there ever a man like this on earth? I doubt it. There are no real characters and no real situations. The script too is unreal! If only someone with a sense of creativity had glanced through the script, I am sure he would have told the rest, No future, ji! |
